Why is there lye in your soaps?
Lye, also known as sodium hydroxide, is an essential part of making all natural, handmade soaps. When lye is combined with fats and oils, it creates a chemical reaction known as saponification, which produces soap and glycerin. This combination helps to cleanse, hydrate, and nourish the skin. The lye used in soapmaking is completely safe and does not remain in the final product. Instead, it is neutralized and transformed into the mild, gentle soap that we all know and love. We take great pride in using only all natural, food grade lye to make our soaps, ensuring that they are safe and effective for your skin.
Do you use all natural fragrances or essential oils?
We use essential oils in our skincare products because they are natural, safe, and gentle on the skin. They offer a wide range of benefits, from providing antioxidants and other nutrients to helping improve the appearance of skin. Essential oils are also known for their anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, which can help protect the skin and reduce redness, irritation, and other skin conditions. Additionally, essential oils are known for their ability to reduce stress and promote relaxation, making them a perfect addition to any skincare routine.
Why did I receive packing peanuts?
When necessary, we use packing peanuts that are biodegradable and compostable. We receive these packing peanuts from one of our suppliers and we prefer to reduce, reuse and recycle them when we can. You will not always receive packing peanuts when you make a purchase. If you do receive packing peanuts, please take the time to dispose of them responsibly.
How do I make a return or exchange?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not, we will gladly accept returns of unused, unopened products within 30 days of purchase.
